Ted Meister Atlanta Lab Rescue - Meet the Dogs
null

Hi there - I know, I know I probably am not what you thought you would find on a lab website. No I don't have the perfect lab block head - who really wants to be known as a block head anyway?? I do have the perfect yellow lab fur - and I have the best labbie ears!! ALR decided that I was just too darn cute to pass up - and I thank them for that!!

Meet Baxter2 and his brother Hawley. For those of you who arent familiar with the movie Silverado those are two characters from the movie. Unfortunately, theirs is a sad story unlike the crazy western. They were picked up by animal control after the owner was taken to the emergency room and died. There they were, stuck in a shelter. Victims of circumstance.

Meet Muffin.

We are picking up this little pup today and bringing her into our program. It is a miracle that everything came together to enable us to help her. Otherwise, they couldnt let her stay there injured another day. Thanks to an anonymous donor who has offered some sponsor money, The Ark Animal Hospital, thats open 24/7 and Henry County Shelter staff, who was willing to come in on Sunday and meet Frank.

Gotti is ridiculously cute!! His ears are garnering him quite a bit of attention and chatter around the water bowl.

He's super sweet and playful. Extremely social and having a ball at doggie daycare, intent on meeting and greeting everyone who crosses his path.

He is such a sweetheart!! He is very gentle and loves people. He cuddles if we call him up, but has been sleeping on a dog bed in the bedroom. He is housetrained and very curious.

Rory, a gorgeous little lab mix showed up at a man's house as a stray - no identification. He could not keep him and was going to have to take him to the local shelter unless rescue stepped in.

He said this little guy is nothing but sweetness!

For a one year old dog, Country is very low-key. He is adapting well and is loyal to his caregiver. He is a bit shy with new people, but eventually he warms up.

He is good on a leash, does not bark or jump, is crate trained, housebroken, and good with other dogs

Cocoa is an owner surrender. Her owner posted about her on several rescue sites, and we were contacted to help. His only other alternative was to take her to animal control.

Cocoa's story....

Cornbread is a verrrry sweet and handsome boy. Vet says he's 2 years old. First thing he did when he jumped in the car was give me a huge kiss. He's a great car rider and gentle. He loves to play ball and saw logs on the couch (if you'll let him :).

Tracker 2 is a 92 pound, 3 year old purebred yellow lab - the Vols at the shelter described him in two words just awesome .

Try as they might they could not capture the beauty of this boy in pictures, but he is magnificent in person and you'll have to trust us on that

Who could walk away? Sirius is so so beautiful and so serene. It is a shame our seniors are being routinely dumped - many are losing their lives. Sadly, seniors simply don't have the same draw as puppies and younger dogs.
