Arthur is a Lab/Husky mix approximately 4 months old. He's got quite a tail to tell - from Pauper to Prince in less than a week...

Here's the substance of the email we received and Arthur's story:

Hello. I discovered a very sweet puppy, about 4 months old, roaming the streets of my neighborhood. He is largely yellow lab with a touch of husky - given away by the shape of his head and one blue eye - Just gorgeous! When I stopped my car and opened the door, he tried to jump in! He is so friendly! I put up signs but no one has called to claim him. Unfortunately, my landlord found out I was trying to foster a dog and made me call Gwinnett Co. Animal Control. Now he only has until Wednesday to live. PLEASE, help this puppy. He's a little worse for wear as there is no telling how long he has been without a home. If you can help out in any way, his life is on the line and he is just too sweet to be put down. I was not able to get a picture before the officer came and took him away. Please save his life. I am sending this email to EVERY shelter I can find and I will give you an update if one is able to take him.

We were so inspired by this young woman's campaign to save Arthur, we went to work. We swept the Gwinnett website looking for this enchanted boy and contacted her shortly thereafter. She was right on the mark about Arthur, shelter staff too attested to the lovebug he is! Sweet Arthur and Emily had a mini reunion of sorts and then off to Vetting. For the moment, we still don't have a picture that does him justice, he seems to want a close up time and again. Leaving us with a great shot of his nose, but not much else! We yearn for a shot of his infamous smile and sky blue eye, but have satisfied ourselves short term with an expressive tail that frankly never stops wagging and welcoming. After all, Arthur's tail speaks volumes, and a picture is only worth a thousand words.
