| Belle is a 3 1/2 year old gorgeous purebred yellow lab. Her Dad was recently deployed to Iraq - after he left, Belle's family unceremoniously dumped her at a high kill shelter. Nice. She was overwhelmed, extremely frightened and timid while at the shelter. Even under so much duress, her personality shined through and it was clear under any other circumstances she was a sweet dear girl. She is good around other dogs, but gravitates towards people. We think she is missing her Dad for sure and the saddest thing - how to explain her absence when he returns. We imagine he too will be devastated by the loss of his best friend.
