Christmas Day Update One more quick note while I'm thinking about him... Thank you so so much for rescuing Bosco!!! He sits on his bed and extends his paw to shake! For an 18-month-old dog he is amazingly calm and easy. He stands quietly while you put on his collar and leash. Walked well on leash out with Maggie ~ he wanted to play with her of course! She and Bosco are the two most gentle dogs we have - of all the Christmas goodies, we have yet to find a treat to tempt Bosco.
Bosco is well on the way to being an angel dog! M.
Bosco has a very special (but not so secret) admirer who just happens to also do retriever rescue - happily for Bosco, she made it very clear to us just how special he was...
Would there be any way you could help Bosco? He is sweet and shy and vulnerable...He gave me the sweetest hug when I stopped in to visit him yesterday. He's breaking my heart and affecting my sleep. He is shy - but I just love him to death. I would actually have brought him to my house already but I have one that has a very compromised immune system so I can't bring anyone new in.
Well... that sealed the deal for us - the accolades alone from an experienced rescuer coupled with his adorable pics and we are happy to introduce this sweet labby boy, Bosco, as ALR's best and brightest new recruit.
Here are a few quick stats based on her interaction with him and more to follow just as soon as he finishes up his vetting...
- Male, 18 mos
- Housetrained
- Good with other pets and kids
- Shy ‚ very sweet ‚ loves you to play chase with him
- Awesome boy ‚ wonderful hopeful smile
- 60lbs but needs to put on some weight
