Update from her foster ....
Coca Cola is doing great! Obviously she loves the pool and my resident Golden!
Derek and I have started her on some games, she seems to enjoy soccer (she cheats though) and tug and chase, and she loves her runs. It did take a couple of days for her to settle into sleeping in the crate, but she is very smart, and wants to please so she learns very quickly. She is currently not showing any signs of being a "traveler" she got out of the house last night during the thunderstorm, only to came around to the front door asking to be let in. She responds very well to her new name, "Coca-Cola".
The best home for her is going to be an active home preferably with at least one other larger established dog and/or a young active child about 10 yrs old (outdoor active) she will make a great hiking companion, agility dog, Ski/skatejoring, http://www.dogscooter.com/ etc.etc. She loves to swim, it took her about 30 hours to really figure out the pool, now she is seldom dry. I would recomend a home with a pool, or at least somone willing to take her to the lake regularly. Cocoa is a beautiful one year old black lab mix that weighs in at a respectable 50 pounds and will likely settle in there. Cocoa is still very much puppylike in both her behavior and her attitude towards life, "life is fun!" She's also smart as a whip. She thrives outside during playtime and loves to be exercised and walked. In her doggie dreams, Cocoa would love to possibly have a doggie door and access to a large play area and fenced in back yard to wile away her afternoons. Cocoa has completed basic training and is bright and quick to learn - she's an astute, capable student and given the opportunity would excel with further training. She knows many tricks and commands and as evidenced by her photos she even does tricks with her treats! She is completely house trained as well as crate trained. She is ready to roll....the total package!
