Jackson is a 1 yr old male chocolate lab pulled from the DeKalb shelter after he unknowingly won over the heart of our volunteer. She was determined to show Jackson the finer side of life and undertook to schedule daily outings with him where he could explore outdoors. Short walks have since become the highlight of his day with even the most basic and mundane things a wonder to him. He loves to stroll in the grass & languish in the sun enjoying his newfound sense of freedom. He seems to flourish in all the things we take for granted and as a result, Jack has a renewed vigor for life. He is presently underweight due to the stress & life of being in the shelter, but we expect him to fill out beautifully and morph into what he was assuredly meant to be! A little nurturing and some TLC will go a long way toward bringing this beautiful chocolate into the home stretch. He's shown his willingness, lets meet him half way & reward him with the life he so richly deserves.
