Hi ‚ just a little update on the sweet boyÖ
I have been crating him at night and he is happy to go in there, doesnít cry or anything and stays quiet until morning. He and my dog have warmed up to each other after both were being a little stand-offish for the first 24 hours and are now in full best friend mode. I think Kirby has gotten a lot of his confidence back ‚ he will taunt Barkley with his toys to get him to play with him. And then they are off to hop and run and play and romp.
He was a little tentative about eating at first and tended to look at me like really? I can eat this? Itís for ME?? but now heís past that and understands that heís in a good place with nice people so heís more comfortable. He ís very mellow ‚ will just sit at my feet and pop up every now and then to get a pat or rub.
He needs a little training as far as sit/stay goes, but is pretty good on a leash. He really wants to do whatever is asked of him ‚ a gentle giant! He follows me around the house and seems to be fully devoted to me, even after only 72 hours! And even after I gave him a bath today, which he didnít particularly enjoy!
Iím happy to have himÖand could bring him to adoption day on Oct 26th if nothing comes up before thenÖhe is just adorableÖ : )
