Sissy and Lila have many a blonde moment - so much so, that had we met them prior to rescue, we might more aptly have named them Bubbles and Boom Boom. These dogs really are two halves of a whole - each responsible for contributing something to the other. What exactly, we're not sure. Rather quaintly quirky, sweet and naive - we have yet to meet a more likeable pair. And they're out to prove blondes have more fun ~ with one another, with other dogs, with their people. Whenever anyone is around them, they can't help but smile - or laugh...they're captivating.
Take our first night outing, we endeavored to take them for a walk, wherein they bumbled and stumbled into one another so often, we zig zagged down the street. Both girls thought this was loads of fun - in between fits of laughter, we realized they seemed to delight in the pleasure. Each zig was met with a kiss, each zag a wag. A waltz of sorts ensued. With her shorter legs and plumper proportions, Sissy seemed to be leading this dance, her partner only a pitter patter behind. Suffice it to say, we eventually got them in step and a half hour later, found ourselves wondering 'who's playing who here'? I mean, line dancing up next! the latter half of the walk not a step out of sync! So while they may appear not the brightest bulbs on the block and blissfully unaware - we have to ask ourselves - is it all an act? And if it is, we have unwittingly fallen for their charm... lock stock and barrel.
And who could blame us? Lila is adorable with her dudley nose, pretty petite head, roundly adorned with lemon-white freckling and a decidedly smaller, compact body; those same lemon freckles dot Sissy's head, she too has a liver nose and her body, well....maybe best described as perfectly, pleasantly plump! Yellow lab torsos complete their look. Two labby lemon drops - sweet and labradorable.
