| Ramsay was rescued from an outlying county the day he was scheduled to be PTS. He was one of a few select pups that week who merited his very own 'rescue angel' . We have to wonder if he felt her presence, securely alit upon his shoulder and definitely on a mission. A black dog fairy with much work to do. And one who proceeded to bombard us daily with updates and a countdown to his demise. Suffice it to say, we pretty much fell in love with his handsome face in the course of a day and an onslaught of emails later...all attesting to his absolute canine splendor! It was all for naught really, because we had our eye on him LONG before and were simply awaiting vet space. Regardless, we enjoyed all the fanfare surrounding him and the feel good emails sent on his behalf. They only served to further cement our belief in him which was recently reaffirmed by his foster. Ramsey is thriving under their care, thrilled to have found canine companionship in their two resident dogs and adoration all around! He is still sweetly shy but finds comfort in the presence of the family and sleeps faithfully alongside their bed. All in all, its been a relatively seamless transition for him due in large part to his familiarity with the doggie door and use of same, love of walks and canine counterparts alike. Primed and ready for a forever home of his own, we have a sneaking suspicion the 'keepum' fairy, a distant relative of the black dog fairy, won't be far behind!
