| Hello out there my name is Roxy! I am a young female black lab who landed in the DeKalb shelter -heaven knows why? I know myself to be a sweet, calm girl, loving to people and children alike. I adore snuggling and given the opportunity, maybe putting my head in your lap too. I figure myself to be pretty cute because everyone at the shelter thought so and I garnered quite a bit of attention whenever I walked by. I'm thinking this has to do with the fact that I have no tail and I created quite the buzz! A lab without a tail? Hmmm... Well, yes - I don't know why but I've never known anything different. I guess in some respects its unique to me, being a lab and all (although shelter chatter among the girls led me to believe this is a coveted trait in other breeds and a standard). It does come in quite handy in fact - I don't knock down small children with wagging excitement, I won't require excessive grooming, never leave a muddy swishing trail or swipe anything with a robust wag. And, of course, I sit beautifully! Happiness abounds in my expressive eyes and joyous personality, and those are all the cues you'll need to see this radiant girl shine through. So that's my tale....when shall we meet?
