Update!
Yam and Sweetpea are very much enjoying doggie daycare! They play well with others and despite being found together, seem equally content to be separated. They are not bonded in the sense that they pine for one another when apart. In fact, they have quite a few new friends to whom they tend to gravitate. They meet and greet effortlessly and it is our feeling (and that of our daycare staff) that Yam and Sweetpea would thrive as individuals as Yam has the tendency to try and outshine her better half.
This dynamic duo are two peas in the proverbial pod, they were surrendered as strays but definitely not strays in the true sense of the word. These were someone's beloved dogs! They simply adore one another and definitely came from the same home. They know each other and finish each others sentences so to speak. They are beyond adorable, well mannered and very probably sisters and/or related as they favor one another from both a looks and personality perspective. Smiles aplenty.
Sweetpea & Yam are two female yellow labs that were surrendered as strays. They are both about 3 years old. They have a great temperament and are very friendly, outgoing girls. Both girls breezed through their behavior assessments. They are both pretty, they look to be mostly purebred labbies except their coloring is a very pale shade of yellow in certain places and their legs are a wee bit shorter than some of their labby counterparts. They are well balanced and weigh about 50 to 60 pounds. We tend not to believe they were strays due to their household etiquette - (they may possibly be sisters?) - they are certainly social, southern charmers.
